This Privacy Policy explains how 5¼ Floppy Software, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our applications, websites, and related services.
Information we collect
Our current applications may collect no personal information unless a feature clearly asks you to provide it. If an application’s data practices differ, that application will disclose those practices within the app or in an app-specific notice.
When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, and message. Our web host may also process standard technical data, such as IP address, browser type, device type, and access times, for security and reliable site operation.
Screen saver purchases
Stripe processes payments and billing information on its hosted checkout. Our website does not receive or store your full card number or security code. Stripe holds the payment and billing details; we can access transaction information needed for support, refunds, accounting, and tax obligations. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
Our checkout stores the purchased products, amount, order and Stripe transaction identifiers, payment status, and order creation time. A necessary cookie links your browser to your order; it lasts up to seven days. Download links expire after 15 minutes and can be renewed from your order page in the original browser. Security rate limits use a keyed hash of your IP address. Our hosting provider may separately retain access logs, including IP addresses and requested URLs.
Fluid Studio’s standalone savers keep selected pictures and settings locally on your Mac. They do not send those pictures to our checkout, perform online license checks, or include purchase analytics. Payment records are retained as needed for fulfillment, refunds, accounting, and legal obligations. Contact us about access or deletion, subject to those requirements.

Sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate our services, when required by law, or to protect safety and legal rights.
Data retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, legal requirements, or legitimate business needs. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Children’s privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us so we can address it.
Your choices
You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information you have provided to us, subject to applicable law. You may also manage device permissions through your device settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our apps and practices evolve. We will post changes here and revise the “Last updated” date.
